Hanson's RNR EP!

HOO-RAH!!

 

I got my Hanson Roots N' Rock n' Roll EP today! I'm so, so excited to listen to it! I'm going to do a little "delayed gratification" and not listen to my new EP until Wednesday morning when I take my walk with my dog. It will just sound that much better! I love having new tunes to listen to on my morning walks, it makes the time pass faster and it just makes it that much more fun to be outside moving my body early in the morning!

 

I'm especially looking forward to Remember the Time by the King of Pop himself, Mr. Michael Jackson (seriously though, after watching and listening to Hanson's behind the scenes streams of this song, there is no question in my mind that they need to cover more of MJ's songs! Human Nature would be beautiful with Hanson's angelic harmonies, Black or White would be so much fun and Man in the Mirror would be amazing because...well, it's just an awesome song and I love it!). I'm also really excited to have Thinking Out Loud on repeat because, in my opinion, it was sounding almost BETTER than the original (and I'm a BIG fan of the original song so....).

 

 

 

 

Uploading this little guy to my itunes was my #1 priority after tearing open my package!

 

Happy Fall!

Today is the official first day of fall! And can I just say how excited I am? I love, love, love this time of year! I am so looking forward to the holidays this year, and for me, fall is where they all begin. I am also really looking forward to baking! Baking with Pumpkin :) YUM! I made some Pumpkin Cream Cheese filled bread in honor of this first, beautiful Fall day. To be completely honest it didn't turn out as good as I thought it would. Maybe that's because I cut and served it while it was still warm (the recipe did say to let the bread cool completely). Maybe it will taste better tomorrow morning. Oh well. There will be many more pumpkin recipes to try this upcoming month! I'm excited!

 

 

 

I wish the bread was more of a "pumpkin color" but it looks cool with the cream cheese swirl!

Hope It Comes Soon

So.....I did something today that represents taking a HUGE step in moving forward with my life. And that is.....I got my driver's permit! I am that much closer to getting my licence :) Feels good. I try not to get discouraged about the fact that I'm 23 and I'm just barely learning how to drive. It is what it is and I'm just going to be happy and proud of myself for finally taking the bull by the horns and doing something about it! Driving has been a HUGE issue for me so I'm glad I'm one step closer to being done with the stress, fear, dread and guilt I feel when it comes to DRIVING.

 

I love, love, love this song! I interpret this song with a great message about moving on, making a change and hoping that it happens soon :)

Make it Alright

I just discovered this song (thanks to someone sharing it on the Hanson app) and have been absolutely loving it! It's definitely from their "Underneath" (early 2000's) era (at least that's what I'm guessing) by the sound of Zac's vocals, he sounds pretty young. It's just a fun song with a fun rhythm and sound. Love discovering new Hanson music, especially when I start thinking I've just about heard it all. And to be quite honest, I was going through a "Hanson draught" if you will. I just didn't have a desire to listen to Hanson, how sad right!? But after discovering this song, and then the live stream from last Friday (with their incredible rendition of Lean on Me amongst other songs they shared) I am back in full Fanson mode! I guess it's always nice to take a little break, that way when you listen to their music, it's like hearing it for the first time again and it feels AWESOME!

So, one of my four younger brother's birthdays was last Friday. He is definitely NOT a Hanson fan.
